About

My name is Patricia Drum and I started practicing Yoga back in 1992. It was in my very early stage of practice that I became very interested in studying Yoga as a subject, its history, its philosophy’s and to bring my personal Yoga practice to the next stage. Approximately 4 years later I started doing various workshops in Yoga in the UK and then I started a 4 year Teacher Training course. In addition to Yoga I also had a great interest in Ayurveda and did many workshops and study in Ayurveda with Dr. Robert E. Svoboda who greatly inspired me as he is truly one the best and most amazing teachers in Ayurveda.

It was in the year 2000 that I got my first opportunity to go to India and it was with Dr. Svoboda’s guidance and help that I found the Ashram and my Guru in Tamal Nadu, South India which turned out to be my second home and the place that I returned to many times over the years, living and studying in India. In addition to Yoga I also studied Ayurveda in India from the Charika Samhita, original textbooks on Ayurveda as well as its many therapies and treatments.

When I returned to my hometown of Monaghan in 2003 I started teaching Yoga while still returning to India many more times. My classes continued to grow and flourish over the years. I built up a very good name and reputation and have been able to help many people bring positive and great changes to their physical and mental wellbeing.

Due to Covid I started taking Individual 1-1 classes as group classes were not permitted. As it turned out this was a blessing in disguise because my students were getting much better results. This allowed me to be able to personalise each persons class according to their ability and level of practice but even more importantly I can now help people much more than before by working for ones individual needs. In my opinion there has never been a greater need for Yoga as so many people are suffering in many different ways with both mental and physical health problems.

Yoga is my life, I am passionate about my work and I am a perfectionist as I like to get very good results for each person. I teach Hatha Yoga in its true and original form following, respecting and honouring the Ancient Traditional Teachings and practice of Yoga dating back over 5,000 years.
